While on the plane heading to Atlanta (business trip) I rediscovered one of my old favorite albums … Webbie – Savage Life (Chopped & Screwed).

Sad thing … I hate to admit it … but when that line came out … I thought it was the hottest one liner I had heard in years. I had never heard anyone so eloquently (yeah … that’s eloquent!) express their utter disgust in being asked by a woman to buy random stuff for her (I think it’s safe to assume this isn’t the love of his life … prolly his “Gutta B****”).
Also, it effectively summed up (although in an extreme way though) the feelings of me and my fellow male coleagues (my roomate to this day … a fellow EBP … still quotes that line) at the time. Buying the shoes would be simping … and that wasn’t tolerated.
Hearing it again made me reminisce to my younger days (lol … like I’ve really changed) and I just had to share this as …

I dont listen to this type of stuff nor do I really regard it as a true genre. much like the women like many of todays women, it lacks any real content. we are pulling more out of it as educated black people than is really in there.
