Moment of Ignorance: Let me see your tongue ring
I believe in balance with all things that I do.
So … as I try and bring intelligence, awareness, and enlightenment to all of my readers … I feel I must interject a certain bit of ignorance to keep the universe in proper balance.
I mean … what good is sugar without having tasted the sour taste of a lemon … feel me.
Anyone who has been around for awhile knows I’m a big fan of dirty south rap … especially when Chopped & Screwed (aka Slowed & Throwed). As a result … my ears are bombarded with the type of ignorance that could easily corrupt your average individual … luckily I am of superior intellect capable of not succumbing.
So … without further ado … I present … an SBM Moment of Ignorance

I’ve loved this song since High School … but back then I lacked the intelligence to appreciate the ignorance (think about it … it makes sense).
This is just a clip from her verser … but she is wet as a river that you a need a boat for her … and I thougt Aquafina Flow was hot.
And to tie it all together … she says she is gonna put a razor in her mouth … and cut up someone’s dick while giving head.

Just to clarify, my comments about music selection are made in jest….I like ig’nant ish from time to time, too, even if just for the sheer comedic factor. Lookin Boy is still 1 of my favorite songs right now (that one is actually pretty clever). I’m a silly ass at heart, even tho I’ve been told my humor can be somewhat Daria-like.
Eventhough I too am a young intellectual, I do love my ignat music. Especially Three 6 Mafia, “Choices” was sh*t. I think you got to have both sides of the spectrum, I like the ignat stuff but I listen to Lupe, Talib, and Mos Def so it’s a blend. Riding in the car with me, you’ll never know whats next on the playlist.

I feel ya on Lookin Boy. What makes it so great is that it’s stupid and genius at the same time. When I’m feeling especially ignant, I randomly quote that song and/or make up my own Lookin’ Boy quotes.
we all have a moment of ignorance, and it’s hard not to when most of the ignant music is so catchy. my fav for the past few months is DJ RPM feat Damn D “Love Me.” not sure if that’s national but it’s the sh*t in TX.

its reality for some people, it may be crass, vulgar, lewd, rude, obnoxious..but why ignorant??

This music doesn’t seem “lacking in knowledge” at all. In fact, its very knowledged in the “ghetto, urban street” sense
and liking it does not make that person ignorant, nor are the creators ignorant

@True: I think I use ignorance in the more common sense of the word. Sure … what seems ignorant to some isn’t ignorance to everyone … but if I called White Supremacy ignorance … I don’t think anyone would claim that its not ignorant to everyone.
While all of this music isn’t ignorant … I think talking about razor blades in your mouth while doming a dude up is pure ignorance … cause that sh*t don’t make sense on any level. Hell … even biting it off makes more sense to me.

I’m opposed to ignant music getting heavy rotation on the radio because I teach high school and my students glorify the music too much. But it does have the right to exist. I don’t usually listen to it but on ocasion I like some ignant songs. “Stilletos pumps in the club…. Knuck if you buck” I can’t front I was about to act a fool on the train the otha day when my ipod started playing my dougie =)
I think that when he or any of the other posters mention “ignorant” they are saying it in a satirical way. Calm down, true.
