Below is the WisdomIsMisery Official Trailer. Please watch the video and share with as many in your network as possible. While it might not seem like much to you, every share, ReTweet, Facebook Like, etc will make this project that much easier for me to get off the ground. Thank you.
The project: I’ve actually been working on the “WisdomIsMisery” concept since before I wrote under the pseudonym WisdomIsMisery. After a number of years of personal, mental, and financial investment, I’m finally in a position to get projects like the one featured above up and running. Unfortunately, I have to be scarce with details for a variety of reasons. The most pertinent reason is that most of the ideas are still in the preliminary stages. However, what I can share is the following:
In my mind, the Wisdom Is Misery project will capture the dichotomy encompassed in one man’s daily life, especially story lines intertwined with those lives he affects outside of himself. Wisdom will effectively represent the good in man, Misery the bad. Of course in practice, the character’s stories will be far from black and white. They will often face circumstances which can only be successfully navigated by employing instincts and character traits of the alter ego; even if those are traits they personally despise. In spite of their best efforts, they will find one cannot thrive without the other.
Along with a number of other very talented people, exponentially more talented than myself, I’m continuing to develop the story and where I want to take the series. I envision detailed interaction and involvement with people like you – those of you reading this sentence – in helping develop future stories. The video leaves unanswered questions, by design and by accident, hence an introductory trailer not a full-length movie, yet. Again, I can’t provide as much detail as I would like, but I can assure you this is only the beginning. I look forward to bringing you more projects expanding on ideas hinted in the trailer. This is not the only project I have going on behind the scenes. I’ll have more on those developments another day.
In closing, I’d like to thank WickedMindState for helping me turn what was once only an idea into a reality. I’d also like to thank Sincere for his portrayal in the trailer and help behind the scenes, as well as Session Studios for providing the soundtrack. You can find out more about them at their website and YouTube page. Lastly, I would be remiss not to thank everyone here and abroad for supporting SingleBlackMale.org as an organization and its individual writers, self-included.
The future looks bright. Along with you, I’m happy to be a part of it. For those of you who are aware of my personal site, WisdomIsMisery.com, you can find exclusive content including the WisdomIsMisery in Paris Official Trailer Remix and Delete Scenes. For more information on future video content and other announcements, please subscribe to SBM’s Facebook and YouTube pages. I can’t express in words what all this means to me, so I’ll keep it simple and end as I began, “Thank you.”
Sincerely…
Well done Wis. Looking forward to seeing more.
Aww, nice! It's good to see you excited about your pending projects. You already know I'll be cheerin' for ya all the way.
Fascinating (and goofy a f). You’ve been holding on to this idea for a long time it seems, so what is it about this idea that motivates you? Where does it come from?
You describe this more like a series as opposed to a whole movie… will the webisodes help pave the way to the movie? Do you actually write scripts too?
Egh… I have more ?s but eghhhh… keep progressing bro.
…….sidenote your "About wisdomismisery" bio is Hilarious
