In the past few months, i’ve been frequently asked to speak on how technology is affecting dating and relationships. I am no expert but I have thoughts. I’m actually a huge fan of online dating and believe that while new technology poses threats to traditional views, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Tomorrow, (Wednesday, March 13, 2012), i’ll be sitting on a panel to discuss, Dating in the Digital Age. The event is taking place right here in DC at Tabaq Bistro. I’ve included the event details and location below. If you’re in the area, please come out. I would love to see you all there.

Cheers. – Dr. J

Nowadays, communication has become even more complicated…there’s Facebook, Twitter, texting, messaging, and many new ways to exchange and learn about each other. While all these new forms of communication can be exciting, they have made it even harder to navigate through the dating world. It adds another layer of standards when searching for the “right one.” Are you an over-texter? Do you do a “social media search” of your latest crush? Do you prefer to follow them on Twitter instead of talking on the phone?

Courting is completely different now in the 21st century and we’re going to discuss it! Men and women in one room for an interesting discussion on how to deal with dating in the “digital age.”

Afterwards, stay for an opportunity to mix and mingle. Come out for a great debate, and the possibility of meeting someone new!

Happy Hour at Tabaq starts at 5pm!! Get there early for a seat and a drink!
